The Flags fundraising directly supports the Scouts of Troop 1880. This initiative helps Scouts cover the costs of Scouting, while also offering Scouts a meaningful opportunity to give back to the community. Led by volunteers, the Scouts are responsible for managing their routes throughout the program. We service the following subdivisions: Mission Grove, Brynmawr Lakes, Richland Park, Woods Edge, Riverside Ranch, McCrary Meadows, Westpark Lakes, Glenwood and Brazoswood.  The cost schedule is below.  The flags are placed through the year on six major  holidays:

FAQS

Volunteer Scouts from Troop 1880 will install a 12-inch piece of PVC in your yard near the curb. The curb will be marked with a small white tag for ease of finding throughout the year. For each holiday in the subscription period, a flag will be placed in those sleeves.

The first flag is $50.00 and every additional flag is $40.00.

No, but you are more than welcome to place a light on the flag. Solar lights work well for this. You may also take the flag inside at night if you wish, but please make sure it is back in the sleeve the next morning before the flags are retrieved.

If you are moving within our flag boundaries, please fill out the form below and we will transfer your service. If you are moving outside of our distribution area, fill out the form below and we will see if another organization services your new address.

Safety is our first concern. If inclement weather is forecasted, the flags will not be placed. We will try to come up with a make-up date if possible. This has only occurred a couple of times due to hurricanes. We hope we never have to skip any holidays!

You will receive a renewal email during the month of February. If you wish to continue your flag subscription for the new year, you will just need to click on the link within the email and it will take you to an order screen. You will then be able to review your address and personal information. You will be asked to enter your credit card information each year for payment. For your protection, we do not store your credit card information.

As a non-profit, our goal is to maximize your donation so that our Scouts can receive as much as possible toward their camps. We are NOT profiting off of your processing fees but our Scouts benefit because every penny of the price of your flags is going directly to the program.

Our site is secure and we do not retain your credit card information after you place an order. If you still prefer to mail a check, you must fill out this form to ensure your order is placed. Checks must be received within 10 days of your order or it will be cancelled.
